There are a lot of odd things you can do on a night out. One man at 3 am decided to break into a bakery and steal some cupcakes. But don’t worry he cleaned his mess before he left.

Emma Irvine, owner of Sweet Something bakery in Vancouver, Canada, posted a storytime on her TikTok of the polite burglar.

The video shows security footage of the man breaking the glass door of the bakery and lounging around. It seems he came to his senses quickly because he proceeded to clean up the glass using a broom.

The man, sporting some orange sunglasses, also took a bunch of selfies on the store phone. On his way out he took six chocolate champagne cupcakes for his troubles.

The store responded to the odd break-in by making cookies in the shape of sunglasses and adding them to the chocolate cupcakes. With the video going viral, the burglar has called the bakery to make amends.

“He profusely apologized, you could tell it was really sincere and he has offered to pay for the door and for the cupcakes,” Irvine states in an update video. Irvine has not pressed charges on her considerate thief.

It is very appropriate that a breaking and entering crime in Canada ends with the burglar saying sorry. Or I guess in this case, “Soar-ee.”
